Visualizations

Visualizations can be part of meditation.  It is the use of the natural creativity of the mind, its imagination and power to develop consciousness.  The mind naturally and freely creates imagery without our conscious control. The practice of visualization is to help us become more aligned with this inner process and to be able to selectively choose imagery which will serve us better, whether it is to overcome negative dispositions replacing them with positive ones, or to heal an emotional or physical condition or as a support for religious and spiritual practice and attainment.

The world we experience is created by our unconscious use of the power of visualization.  The mind when it is not focused creates situations and environments based on our deepest held beliefs and thought processes.  Consciously choosing to visualize what we want, is choosing to exercise our will power and intentionality.
